LG Cookie Pep GD510

Afford a Touch
A touch screen is the in thing in market. So, it has to be accessible to common mass some day or the other. Named as Pop, the LG GD510 is a great touch screen phone that's designed to provide the best features of a touch phone without any added cost.

Design
The GD510 is the smallest 3in touch screen phone on the market, which is quite some achievement. The first thing one notices about this phone is its size. With a weighs of only 87g and a slim and trim design it is too small for a touch screen. LG has opted for a very simplistic look. Only one multiple function buttons adorns the front while the back has just the camera lens tucked in one corner. The all plastic body with a simple brushed metal effect on the back and silver paint on the front is also very elegant.

Treat Your Eyes
While on the subject of usability lg mobile has adopted the interesting slide-to-unlock system. To look at, the screen is nice though not exceptionally good. It's plenty sharp enough, viewing angles are good, and there's enough color and brightness to make it legible on sunny days as well as enjoy videos.

Connectivity
Connectivity wise it is a basic quad band GSM/GPRS phone with no 3G support. Wi-Fi and GPS are also absent. However, Bluetooth and USB are on board. It has a proprietary web browser but no email support. MMS and SMS are covered for text freaks.

Multimedia
As for the camera, this is a very basic 3-megapixel unit that lacks both autofocus and flash. Nonetheless, it produces decent photos with accurate colors. Video is okay for some fun clips. As it has a nice and large display, it provides a video player for your pleasure. Also present is a music player and FM.

Cons
It has sacrificed a number of features to accommodate a large touch screen.

Verdict
With its small body and neat design, the LG GD510 Pop could have been a great low-cost touch screen phone and certainly it's the best device of this type from LG. if you don't want heavy duty features but love to flaunt a touch screen, it is well worth considering.
