How to play and edit Sony HDR video on Mac OS X?

Part 2: Can't play Sony HDR video on Mac OX S.
If you have one of the above Sony HDR camercorders,  maybe you are confused when facing How to play and edit Sony HDR video on Mac OS X?
Sony HDR videos are mainly AVCHD or AVCHD / MPEG-2 videos .The files extension may be different .The output format of SDR-SR12 is mpeg; the output of Sony SDR-SR10, Sony HDR-SR11, Sony HDR-XR100, Sony HDR XR-500V, Sony HDR-TG1 , Sony HDR-CX7, SDR HDR-SR5 all output videos as the .mts file.

Part 3:  Solution
These Sony original videos can’t be played or edited on Mac OS X frequently, so if you want to play the camercorder's video on Mac OS X, need import Sony HDR video to mac,  convert Sony HDR video and then play Sony HDR video on Mac. BUT this guy is taliking too much, my god, there is nothing else to talk about.Expert said, that the iPhone is too powerful for verizon network, period. slow a-s-s 3G, bad service in Puerto Rico, stupid customer service, crappy tech support, also any time you go out of USA, you need call them and let them know so the will set up your device, (WFT), I DON'T have to call att for that, etc etc, whoever switch may will regret, talk and surf internet is a big thing that att have and verizon don't, faster 3G speed, good customer service,etc etc. put movie on ipad But wrong. YouTube does not purport to vet submissions; Apple does. YouTube does not have explicit contracts with posters; Apple does with developers. And finally, if a license violation is filed, YouTube removes the offending material; Apple continued to distribute well after the violation had been asserted publicly.

When I look for the question like does iMovie 8 support Sony HDR CX100 AVCHD files, I got numerous negative or positive answers. But after I have a careful observation on Apple web about iMovie 8, I found that my Sony HDR CX100 camcorder AVCHD recordings are compatible with iMovie 8 as long as all the following elements are fulfilled:
1. Mac with an Intel-based Core Duo processor or better
2. Device recognition when connected to a Mac
3. Display of import controls for the device
4. Importing of the video to iMovie.

If one of the listed is missing, you will have difficult in importing and editing Sony HDR CX100 AVCHD files to iMovie 8. Judging from iMovie 8 supported camcorder list, I have not seen my camcorder model of Sony HDR CX100. It means that I can not go there unless I convert your CX100 .mts files to iMovie preferred video format, like MOV.

Via google, I find Brorsoft MTS Converter for Mac is the recommend program to transcode Sony MTS files to MOV for editing in iMovie and Final Cut. And then I downloaded and installed this program which is really impressed with its simple and fast operation. The following I will share this quick guide with everyone:

For the preparation of video converting, please download Brorsoft MTS Converter for Mac and then install it. And then connect your Sony HDR CX100 camcorder to iMac, Macbook or Mac Pro via USB cable.

Step one. Load Sony HDR MTS recordings to Brorsoft MTS Converter for Mac.
Click “Add” button on the top of program main interface and then choose video clips you would like to convert. Batch video files are allowed to import into this best Mac Sony CX100 MTS Converter.

Step two. Choose MOV as the output video format for iMovie.
Click “Format” option and choose "HD Video->H.264 HD Video (*mov)" as the output video format for Mac iMovie. To keep the original high quality of video recordings, you can set the output video parameters, like resolution, Bitrate and Frame rate by clicking “Setting” to enter Settings window.

Step three. Click converter button to start converting Sony CX100 MTS to MOV for iMovie 8.
After conversion, you can click the ‘Open’ button to locate converted video files. And then it’s time for you to import converter HD .mov files to iMovie 8 for editing.

Tips:
This converted MOV files from Brorsoft Video Converter can smoothly imported into Final Cut Pro (FCP), Final Cut Express (FCP) and iDVD for editing or burning.

If they can get rid of the click-wheel, why not this?Although mandatory four and five finger gestures would really suck for people who've lost a finger or two. I can't think a company with so much emphasis on accessibility features would ditch single point interaction entirely. They'll probably just make the home button capacitive too. iPod to Mac computer I must give my speakers right: customs, delivery charges etc. does not introduce the more profitable.?If you have someone in America is purely coincidental and can take it from you then you can also buy things as normal through the Apple Store.?
